For 2005 Foals available summer 2005
TIMELINE CHECKLIST
Fill out our Adoption Application & Membership Forms.
Submit Forms to Treasurer per instructions listed below.
Notify References that you are adopting & they will receive calls from Fani Representatives.
Representative will call you to speak with you & your references.
Receive approval message from Fani Representative.
Call 1-866-pmu-foal to reserve your foal choice, per instructions on foal page, list 1st, 2nd, 3rd choice.
Kathleen will call with verification of foal choice.
Foal choice goes to RESERVED status.
Submit payment with tracking number with in 24 hours.
Treasurer will send Adoption Contract, complete.
Return Adoption Contract immediately.
Foal choice goes to ADOPTED Status.
Congratulations you are the owner of a FANI Foal.
Prepare housing & wait for late Sept./early Oct. delivery.
Receive a message from your Drop Point provider with delivery instructions.
Pick up your foal at the designated Drop Point.
Enjoy, form the "Bond of a Lifetime" with your FANI Foal.

Starting Life with Your New Foal
Applications are now being processed for the 2005 Adoption Season.
*Warning: Foal Choices are final - no switching later should another foal come up that you like better!
Adoption Cost: The adoption fee (excluding shipping) for each foal will be listed underneath the photograph (range is estimated to be $400 US to $500 US, $500-$600 Canadian).
Shipping Cost: for foals from Canada is estimated at $400 per foal, with the possibility of a partial refund post-shipping should actual shipping costs be less (which partly depends on your proximity to SK and MB, the closer you are the more likely a partial refund).

NOTE: Reservations are for approved adopters & by phone ONLY, between 8:00 AM and 9:00 PM EASTERN standard time. Your call will be returned as soon as possible and in the order in which it was received. Please do not call in the middle of the night, the phone rings at a private residence, not an office, thank you so much for your understanding!
Please read and follow the information listed below (this will help expedite the adoption process), we will not be able to honor foal reservations made in any other form.
1. Adopters will need to fill out and return the Adoption Application to the address listed on the application. Associate members and non-members will need to pay a one time $10 ($10 US, $14 Canadian) non-refundable application fee (fee is waived for Voting PMU Foal Adoption Network Members).

If you have trouble opening the file on your computer you can request a copy be snail-mailed to you by e-mailing treasurer@pmufoaladoption.org.
Adopters can email applications to treasurer@pmufoaladoption.org. PLEASE NOTE that in order to process the application, the application fee must be paid.
Payment can be made two different ways:
PAYPAL:. Application fee if paying via Paypal is $11.00 due to Paypal charges.Paypal address: for sending payment: treasurer@pmufoaladoption.org
IF Paypal is not an option for someone but they want an application expedited: they may send a money order to cover application fee via courier. Once approved (generally it takes a couple days, it is mostly dependent on how difficult it is to reach references), adopters will be sent a contract by fax or e-mail if possible, or by USPS mail if necessary. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU ARE USING A 2005 ADOPTION AGREEMENT. (Adopters approved in 2004 who do not have a current agreement, please contact our Treasurer at Treasurer@pmufoaladotion.org if you need a current agreement).
2. Express Reservation Process: ONLY APPROVED ADOPTERS MAY RESERVE/ADOPT A FOAL

NOTE: Reservations are by phone ONLY, between 8:00 AM and 9:00 PM EASTERN standard time. Your call will be returned as soon as possible and in the order in which it was received.
If you don't reach Kathleen directly, please leave a message with your name, number, and the foal ID you wish to reserve (also include 2nd, 3rd, & 4th choices in case your first choice is taken, pictures for 2005 foals will be available in mid JUNE)
Confirmed only reservations MUST be followed up by a tracking number (for the courier shipment which you are sending with contract and payment inside) the next business day or foal is returned to available status. ONLY APPROVED ADOPTERS MAY RESERVE/ADOPT. No exceptions!
Courier shipments only should be sent to: PMU FANI, 7734 West D Ave. Alamo, MI 49009.
The courier shipment must contain adoption & shipping fees. The contract must arrive within 2 business days of the tracking number being submitted. If the adoption fees and contract are not received within those 2 business days, the foal will no longer be marked reserved and be put up for adoption again.
3. USING PAYPAL: You may pay your adoption and hauling fees in full via Paypal (send to treasurer@pmufoaladoption.org), make sure to include the foal number, the adopters name (note that if different from the payees name, you must include adopters contact information), If using this method of payment:
Fax your completed Adoption Contract to: Lisa Fall, Treasurer, 269-373-5904 at(8 AM till 9 PM CST) and Paypal the funds within 24 hours. Note if Paypal is not received with that time the foal will be returned to available status.(After faxing, please send the hard copy original of the Agreement to our Post Office Box, The address appears on the Adoption Agreement).

Foal Drop Points: we will continually attempt to update, as soon as new locations become available. These are only listed to give potential adopters a general idea of drop locations. Additional Drop Points may be added as needed or if not enough foals are going to any one point they will be removed.
